LA ROUX, tesly

Tesly is a one of a kind, take-it-or-leave-it kind of girl. She's slightly introverted, which in turn has made her more capable of being independent and more comfortable with being alone. However, don't be mistaken by her shy and timid nature, she has a fiery temper driven by her morals. She grew up with her father who taught her to gather the positive of every situation, and to always look back on regrets with an open mind to learn and pursue a path of growth. Teenagers would say that she was raised by hippies, but this girl turned out to be more. Her naturally genuine and positive nature has a habit of returning the favour with humbling experiences, and many people often seek advice from Tesly, no doubt. At the age of eleven, it began; Tesly's (what thought to be) imagination ran rampant and led her out into the woods every morning before school, as well as every evening after she was finished. Being in the woods was always one of the most relaxing experiences for her, feeling bound to nature and at utter peace. Eventually, through a completely avoidable near-death experience, she learned that she could manipulate the earth in subtle ways. Since she was eleven, she would go out into the woods and practice her abilities.

Tesly is a very emotional individual, when she feels, she really feels; be that happy, enlightened, sad, aggravated, PMSing... Not having a mother while growing up has blossomed many insecurities. Tesly will rarely wear a trace amount of makeup because she doesn't know how to do her makeup, and she certainly has abandonment issues, but deep down... she longs to have that mother figure. Years of watching her fathers girlfriends come and go has only pushed her harder to connect with her real mother. With abandonment issues comes attachment issues, and therefore Tesly has never had a relationship before. She's never witnessed a successful and simply believes that she's doomed for love.

Although coming to CEA was hardly what she ever anticipated. it's helped her make more sense of her life and who she really is. The more she learns and the more she absorbs makes her feel as though the puzzle of her being is slowly being put together, and the more her abilities grow the more connected she feels to her Mother. Her somewhat innocent curiosity will always take priority of her decision making, which makes mistakes common and poor decision-making a routine. Obviously, Telsy isn't perfect.
